Basketball (Boys)
Program Information
The St. Michael Boys Basketball Program is open to all 4th through 8th grade students of St. Michael School. The Basketball season begins during late November, with games continuing until late February.
St Michael's Championship Season
The St. Michael Basketball Program ended the 2010/2011 season on a very successful note. Four teams from grades 4, 5 and 6 competed in post season Championship Tournaments capturing four Conference Championships.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Tom Nolan and his staff, the 6B squad advanced 
to the Championship Round of the Southside Catholic Conference at Brother Rice High School. In what could best be described as a difficult game, 6B prevailed, and captured the Southside Catholic Conference Division Championship by defeating St. Patricia, 28-13. The team also advanced to the final four of the South Suburban Basketball League Conference Championship, losing in the semi-final round. 5 Silver competed in two leagues, the Southside Catholic Conference (SCC) and the South Suburban Basketball League (SSBL). During the regular season, this 5th Grade team achieved an impressive overall record of 28-3, all the while working hard to improve their skills. Team Silver ended the season with the best record in the Southside Catholic Conference and claimed the South Suburban West Division Championship. Congratulations to Coach Meehan and his team. 
Our 5th Grade had the distinction of sending two teams to post season championship action. 5 White achieved an overall record of 27-3, claiming the SSBL South Division Championship, and the best record within their division of the Southside Catholic Conference. Congratulations to Coach Tony Cappello and his boys on a job well done.
Playing for their first season, the 4th Grade boys under Head Coach A.J. Hull and his assistant Dave Matre left their mark on their inaugural season. In a thrilling game played at Marist High School, our 4th Grade boys claimed their Division Championship in the South Suburban Basketball League. Congratulations to Coach Hull and his team.

Parent/Player Program Evaluations
At the close of each season, we ask that the parents and players take a moment to offer their opinions relating to the Boys Basketball Program. It is the intent of the Athletic Association to make every program fair and rewarding to each and every child.
We urge you to complete and return the Parent/Player Evaluation Form. Tell us what we are doing wrong or what we can do to improve the program, we cannot make changes without your input. Evaluation forms are available under the Quick Links tab.

Coming Events
- Eighth Grade Night
Eighth Grade Night has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 11th. Game time is 6:00pm as the 8 Blue Wildcats take on Christ the King. This game will be followed at 7:00pm by the 8 Red contest fearuring Queen of Martyrs. The Mothers Free Throw Contest and 7th vs 8th Grade game will move to the time slot immediately following the 8 Red vs Queen of Martyrs game. We apologize for this last minute time change which was requested by the South Side Catholic Conference.
Come out and enjoy the fun as the Class of 2012 play their final home games as St Michael Wildcats. - Playoffs
Southside Catholic Concerence and South Suburban Basketball League Playoffs are scheduled to begin on February 12th (SSC) and February 22nd (SSBA). Playoff details and brackets will be posted as soon as they become available. Summer Basketball Camp
St. Michael Athletics will be hosting a Summer Basketball Camp during the Summer of 2012. Camp will be open to all St. Michael students of grades 4 - 8. Additional information will be posted in the near furure.
