 ROOM 4 FIRST GRADE NEWS

(Week of May 31, 2010)

Well, the last week of school for the 2009/2010 school year is upon us!  Where has the time gone?  We have a busy, but fun week planned.

On Tuesday, we will be going on our field trip to the Shedd Aquarium.  Children can wear their gym uniforms.  Don't forget to pack a lunch.  Chaperones, please be here by 8:15.

On Wednesday, we will  honor our trip to the Shedd Aquarium by having a "Beach Day."  All of our learning activities will be centered around the beach and ocean.  That should be fun!  

We will also be enjoying a free hot dog lunch on Wednesday.

On Thursday, we will be cleaning our desks, chairs and lockers before we leave for our picnic at Brown Park.  Please send in a bucket and a rag with your child.

Friday is our last day.  We will attend an all school 8:00 Mass and be dismissed by 9:00.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the opportunity to work with your children this year.  I wish them the best of luck in second grade!  Have a safe and wonderful summer!
