Third Grade Social Studies: 

Third graders will be studying different types of communities.  They will learn how this country was settled and grew.  We will also practice mapping skills and become familiar with United States geography.  Students should have a Social Studies notebook and folder.

Third Grade Science:

In science we will be studying earth science (rocks and minerals, rock cycle, weather, water cycle, moon phases and the solar system), physical science (matter, energy, electricity and magnets, forces and motion) and life science (types of living things, where they are found, and how they depend on one another).  Students should have a Science notebook and folder.

Fourth Grade Science:

This year fourth graders will be studying physical science (matter, sound, light and heat, electricity, forces, and simple machines), earth science (the rock cycle, changes to earth's surface, the water cycle, and planets), and life science (classifying living things, life cycles, adaptations, the human body, and ecosystems).  Students should have a Science notebook and folder.
