Fourth Grade Homeroom Room 12:- Activities: Monday-Music, Tuesday-Art, Wednesday-P.E., Thursday-Spanish, Friday-Computers,Thursday-LMC. Students will attend Mass on Mondays.
- Birthdays: Students are welcome to bring treats for their birthdays. Due to allergy concerns, please no homemade treats. Summer birthdays are welcome to celebrate their half birthdays.
- Student of the Week: Students will be notified on Friday if they are the student of the week for the following week. Students will receive a poster to fill out and display for the following week. Students may bring treasures to share with the class.

Religion - Students are learning the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Students are also learning the new communiion prayer.
Third Grade Social Studies: - This year we are using a new text book, Communities, published by MacMillian-Hill/McGraw. Students will be learning what makes up a community and the types of communities.
- The current social studies book, Communities, is now on line. Instructions and class code went home on Thursday,9/22. Students may bring home their hard cover book if they choose, but they must bring it back to school for class.
- Students are discussing the environment and natural resources. They are learnign the difference between renewable and non-renewable resources and their importance to us. We are also discussing the importance of recycling. This is a topic we are also covering in science. Vocabulary Quiz on Unit 1 Lessons 3-5 will be on February 2, 2012, Test on these lessons will be on Februsry 8, 2012.
Third Grade Science:- Third grade science students are studying the water cycle. They are discussing the importance of water and how it moves through our ecosystem.
Fourth Grade Science:- Fourth grade students are studying light and heat. They will learn the properties of light and heat. They will learn how we see and how lens can help us see better.
Fourth Grade Social Studies- Fourth graders are studying the loca , state and national governments. They are learning which government provides which services. They will learn how a bill is passed through the state and federal governments. They will become familiar with the three branches of the federal government. They will learn how those branches work together through our system of checks and balances. They will find out how to le arn the names of their representatives.
