 SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Remember to study notes and definitions for at least ten minutes a night.
  • All tests are passed back on Monday.  They should be signed and returned by Wednesday.

 5th Grade Science

Our units of study this year include Environmental Science, Animals and Weather & Climate.

Fifth graders are studying mollusks, arthropods and echinoderms.  They will learn about their characteristics and adaptations that allow them to survive in their environments.  In the lab activity for this chapter, students will work with snails (a type of mollusk) to understand how they respond to factors in their environment.

 6th Grade Science

Our units of study this year include Inside Earth, Human Biology & Health, Electricity & Magnetism and Astronomy.                                

Sixth grade students are studying the digestive system.  They will learn about the importance of the six nutrients for maintaining good health and how to make healthy food choices.  Students will see what happens to the food as it moves through the digestive organs and how the nutrients from our food do their work throougout the body.
