5th Grade Science

Our units of study this year include Environmental Science, Animals and Weather & Climate.

As we enter our last months of school for the year, fifth grade will be studying weather and climate.  We will look at the atmosphere and how it is important to us.  We will learn about air masses, fronts, kinds of storms that threaten our safety and how we can protect ourselves.  Finally, we will discuss the impact of human activity on climate change.

 

 6th Grade Science

Our units of study this year include Inside Earth, Human Biology & Health, Electricity & Magnetism and Astronomy.

In sixth grade, we will finish the school year with the study of electricity and magnetism.  We will discuss the basics of electricity and how we use it in our daily lives as well as technological advances in recent years.  We will also learn the importance of energy conservation in today's world.
