  • August 26  - worksheet on creation and bring art supplies and magazines for tomorrow
  • August 27 - will finish creation posters on Monday and I will collect worksheet on Monday
  • August 30 - Collected creation worksheet -  take home  posters on creation to finish
  • August 31 - collected creation posters  - Open House tonight in the Church7:00
  • September 1 - p. 19 in religion books  on notebook paper  - do not write in religion book
  • September 2 - collected p. 19  discused Confirmation requirements
  • September 3 -  quiz on Chapter one open book today
  • September 7 - quiz returned and began using Bibles for worksheet that needs to be completed  tonight
  • September 8 - began correcting worksheet  - read pp. 22-28 in religion book
  • September 9 -  worked on Visions magagine that we will continue with on Monday- wear gym clothes tomorrow
  • September 10 -   Mass 8:00 - wear gym shoes all week

 

8th GRADE LANGUAGE ARTS

  • August 26- corrected  vocabulary test and began writing paragraph about the boy in the picture - finish for homework- accelerated  - began story in literature book - discussed differances between story and novel
  • August 27 -acelerated corrected p. 18-20 Vocabulary  -passed out extra credit  due September 13th - discussed novel terms from handout - 8th grade - read stories on boy and began  new writing about robots - Coke bottles?
  • August 30 - all 8th graders need to fine MLA handouts for next year and abring to school tomorrow - accelerated - finish the onion paragraph - other 8th graders edit paragraph on robots or coke bottles
  • August 31 - Accelerated  collected stories on onions  - have outlne and thesis statement for tomorrow
  • September 1-  all classes will type outline and thesis statement for tomorrow  and write a complex sentence for Unit 1 Vocabulary odd words
  • September 2 - collected complex sentences  reviewed rules for MLA thesis and outline  - began works cited page
  • September 3 -  retype  thesis statement for Tuesday
  • September 7 - checked thesis statements  - first two parts of MLA paper completed  thesis statement and outline  - Vocabulary Unit 1 test Friday  - p. 25 and 26 in Vocabulary
  • September 8 - finish all of unit 1 work in book  -  test on Unit 1 Friday  - finished MLA  research information  - Research paper due   September 30  - do not wait to do your paper the night before  -  start it now and finish before the 30th  - no excuses for not turning it in  on the 30th  -you have 22 days to do it 
  • September 9 - continued discussion of MLA  - corrected all Unit 1 in Vocabulary  - Unit 1 Vocabulary test tomorrow
  • September 10 -   Unit 1 Vocabulary  Test  - Research papers due September 30th

 

 

 7th GRADE LANGUAGE ARTS

  • August 26-  discussed web page and journaling  - began writing paragraph about the boy in the picture  - finish for homework

  • August 27 - read and collected stories on boy  - assigned test pp. 18-20 in Vocabulary books  - expectations need to be signed and handed in on Monday  - all supplies need to be in school on Monday
  • August 30 - corrected test p. 18-20 in vocabulry  - began notetaking by reading Turtles and Tortoises and taking your own notes ( some classes just finished test and we will not corect until tomorrow)
  • August 31 - began Cornell Method for taking notes - example sheet given out
  • September 1 - reviewed Cornell Method  - assigned p. 24 and 25 top in VOcabulary book and write a compound sentence for odd numbered words in Unit 1
  • September 2 -  collected compound sentences and  will review for tomorrow  -  Note taking and Test taking test on September 10th 
  • September 3 - worksheet on simple and compound sentences
  • September 7 - returned Vocabulary sentences - some need to do over and return  - corrected worksheet  - continued work on  tests and test taking skills  - Friday September 10th  - test on note taking and test taking skills- finish Unit 1 in vocabulary books
  • September 8 -  finished note taking and test taking skills   - test on Friday -  finished unit 1  vocabulary - will review for test tomorrow
  • September 9 -  Reviewed for note taking and test taking skills test - corrected all Unit 1 Vocabulary  - Vocabulary test Unit 1  , Wednesday , September 15th
