Ambassador's Club
Ambassador Leadership Team 2009-2010
Thirteen 8th grade students from St. Michael School have been announced as the Ambassador Leadership Team for this school year. Introduced last year by Mrs. Bernadette Cuttone, principal of St. Michael School, the SMS leadership team serves as role models for the student body by encouraging other students to become positive leaders in the school. The ambassadors mentor new students and work in a tutoring program with students who are struggling academically.
On September 29, the team will visit Marian Catholic High School for a leadership conference. They hope to not only bring back ideas to share with fellow students, but sponsor their own leadership day at St. Michael in the near future.
Mrs. Cuttone and Mrs. Barbara Ryan, a 7th/8th grade teacher, hope to expand the program each year. They anticipate the ambassadors working with younger students, and speaking at Masses throughout the school year to emphasize the importance of Catholic education.
