Stars Shine in Willy Wonka Jr.
St. Michael School's students took the stage to bring Willy Wonka and his chocolate factory to life. Over 75 students in grades five through eight participated as singers, dancers, actors, and tech crew in three sold-out productions of Willy Wonka, Jr.

"We are so fortunate to have such tremendous talent at St. Mike's. The students worked very hard and gave great performances," said Director and St. Michael School parent, Jennifer Trippiedi.
St. Michael School began its Drama Club nearly a decade ago. The popular club has produced many plays over the years including Oliver Twist, Peter Pan, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. The Drama Club offers students the opportunity to perform in and assist in producing and directing, a live performance.
"Each student at St. Michael's has a talent, whether it is academics, sports, or the arts. The school strongly believes in developing the whole child and the Drama Club was created with this mission in mind," said Paula Smith, technical director and St. Michael School parent.
Willy Wonka, Jr. is the first musical produced by St. Michael School after taking a two-year hiatus due to the construction of the school's new, state-of-the-art gymnasium. The Drama Club is already looking forward to planning next year's performance.
